VIDEO Highlights Lehigh vs. Rider & Princeton

Lehigh University wrestlers traveled to New Jersey yesterday to square off against both D1 south jersey teams. The Lehigh fans traveled well out numbering Rider and Princeton fans on their home turf. Both Rider and Princeton were missing several starters but despite this both teams competed very hard against the Mountain Hawks. The Rider team pulled off upsets at a few weights at 57 and 74 but the biggest upset of the day went to Lehigh’s Laike Gardner over returning All American BJ Clagon of Rider. Clagon just returned to the lineup after suffering a concussion a few weeks ago. The Lehigh Princeton match went all chalk however several over matched tigers fought harder than expected. Dillon Gym was filled with enthusiastic fans and a small group of “frat brothers” who made the experience very entertaining screaming something like “fabooya” through out the dual.
After the match Coach Santoro noted that although two duals in a day wasn’t hard on the team that perhaps they The schedule doesn’t get any easier for the Mountain Hawks with Oklahoma and the Southern Scuffle up next on the docket.
