Some thoughts on Team USA & Senior World Championship Schedule

I see the over under for Team USA at 6 medals. If Greco Roman gets 2 it’s an over performance. I see Women’s freestyle with the highest expectations, 3 medals is the prediction. Men’s Freestyle is the wild card; 2 Medals would be an achievement for this team. The loss of Tervel Dlagnev to injury was huge. Not that Rey isn’t a quality guy but he’s not at Dlagnev’s level. Can Metcalf put it all together when it counts? This is a big moment for Coach Brands and the Hawkeyes. Can Green break through like his former team mate did on the senior level? Herbert is a former world silver medalsit but how will the bracket affect his run. If Russia’s Abdulrashid Sadulaev and Cuba’s Reineris Salas Perez is on the other side of the bracket I can see him getting into the finals but the crazy brackets could easily give Herbert a near impossible task. With non Olympic weight classes in play this is Reece Humphrey’s best chance at a world medal. He’s got a real chance but again the bracket can make or break him, it will be stacked.
