Edinboro vs #18 Rider Preview

Check back for coverage of this match
The Fighting Scotts pull into Lawrenceville New Jersey Friday afternoon in an unusual position as an EWL underdog.
Edinboro (4-4, 2-0) will square off against #18 Rider Broncs (6-0, 2-0 EWL), in a dual tomorrow night that will help determine not only the EWL dual meet title but which team gets a spot in next month’s NWCA Division I Dual Championship Series.
Edinboro has been on top of the EWL for some time, finishing third at the NCAA championships 3 seasons ago. The last 2 seasons it’s been a battle between these two schools. Rider has been climbing the ladder and even though they lost the dual last season the Broncs knocked off Edinboro at the EWL tournament last March.
165lbs has the makings of a dynamite matchup between two tough and exciting wrestlers: Matthews and Walsh. I can seen Matthews getting a lead but getting caught in a wide-open scramble and going to his back.
Several ranked and dominant wrestlers will be taking the mat. Rider’s Fidelibus and Walsh are top 10 in pins and Cefolo can go feet to back quickly. I see Rider winning 6 of 10 matches and getting more bonus points along the way. Can Russell, Myers and Matthews get the match close enough that Miller has a chance to win it all at 285?
