A young Cornell team started their trip to Philly squaring off against Drexel in front more than 1,000 fans on spirit night. I think that this is the biggest crowd to see a Drexel wrestling match in modern times. Drexel Coach Matt Azevedo is in his 7th season and squared off with his former mentor Coach Rob Koll in a dual that showed how far Azevedo and his staff have brought the Dragon program over the last seven years but also how much further they will have to climb to get to the top of the EIWA. If you haven’t been to spirit night at Drexel put in your calendar of things to do next season. The students are loud and entertaining.
Post match interviews- Coach Koll, Coach Gabe Dean, Max Dean, Yianni Diakomihalis and Drexel Coach Zack Sheaffer.
